Setting Up PPPoE On Windows / Apple

What is the purpose of doing an Isolation test

So, you are on FTTP and are having some problems, someone has told you to do an isolation test and you have no idea what that is.

If you are having issues with things like your connection dropping out,  slower speeds than usual, noise/static on your line then this test can help isolate the issue.
